3.All the heating and cooling in rooms and public spaces is handled by chillers and inverter pumps, reducing energy costs by 3 times.
4.Our outside walls have been fitted with an external thermal insulation composite system.
5.All our interior walls are painted with European Eco-Label paints.
6.We use LED technology light bulbs and light strips in all light fittings around the resort, reducing energy consumption and maintenance requirements.
7.A total of 14,000 low-energy LED bulbs have been fitted around the resort.
8.In total, we’ve used 40,000m of energy-saving LED tape around the premises.
9.With reverse osmosis and nanofiltration technology, not only is the tap water in rooms and common areas drinkable, but you save CO2 emissions.
10.All rooms have been fitted with sophisticated energy management systems, so you don’t even have to worry about switching off the lights.
11.All bathrooms have been fitted with shampoo and shower gel dispensers that are made from 100% plant-based materials. Can you think of anything better to help us replace (and eliminate) the Single-Use Shower Toiletry Bottles we used to have?
12.We’ve introduced 450,000 pasta straws to replace all plastic ones for the 2019 season.
13.No more plastic dishes, glasses and cutlery are being used in any of our food & beverage outlets.
14.In all restaurants and bars, plastic cups have been replaced with polycarbonate ones that can be cleaned and reused.
15.Special messages on food waste in our Main Restaurant are showcasing ways on how we can address this common challenge together.
16.Throughout the resort, ashtrays-ballot boxes are placed in collaboration with the "Gopa project" initiative. The goal is to reduce cigarette waste - cigarette butts are the most common form of waste found on Greek beaches - through an alternative "voti
17.We collect recycled plastic caps to support not only the environment but also people in need of wheelchairs. A ton of bottle caps (roughly 540,000) can yield €120, which is the starting price of a wheelchair.
18.Recycle bins for a wide range of materials can be found throughout our premises.
19.All waste (organic, packaging, kitchen oil, batteries) in the resort is recycled.
20.All our landscaping has been done with Mediterranean plants; minimizing irrigation needs. Just take a walk around the gardens and smell the rosemary and thyme. You’ll know what we mean!
21.Utilizing rotational operation, the waterslides actively promote water conservation and safeguard the natural resources of Rhodes.
22.We support the rebirth of forests on our island. Our resort occupies 100 acres, so this is the exact size we adopt in burnt forest areas in Rhodes and we support their reforestation following expert guidance.
23.We’re proud to be flying the Blue Flag, awarded for the exceptional water quality and cleanliness of Kallithea beach. Rhodes has more coveted Blue Flagged beaches and marinas (55) than any other municipality in Greece
